Basketball
Students from ISM in grades 2 and 3 play eight games over a season. The games are played four against four on a shorter court and the baskets are lowered to 8 feet. The Huskies compete against other 2nd and 3rd graders from other South Side Youth Organization (SSYO) schools.
Students from The International School of Minnesota and Eagle Ridge Academy in grades 4-8 play in the South Side Youth Organization (SSYO).
Students from The International School of Minnesota and Eagle Ridge Academy in grades 9 through 12 compete in the Eastern Minnesota Athletic Conference (EMAC) and in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).
The boys’ program is comprised of a junior varsity coached by Dre Jefferson (since 2011) and varsity coached by Shun Tillman (since 2008). The boys varsity has won EMAC regular season titles in 2009, 2010, and 2013 and EMAC tournament titles in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
The girls’ varsity is coached by Nick Novak (2012-present). The girls varsity has won EMAC regular season titles in 2008 and 2010. The girls varsity won the EMAC tournament in 2010.
